S&G are pleased to announce the launch of a new apprentice academy to support our continued ambitious growth plans for the future.
We have achieved a record year of growth last year and as we enter their tenth year trading anniversary, we are forecasting additional growth with further plans for expansion. Now with over 100 employees, the launch of the new Apprentice Academy has been created to ensure there is a pipeline of young talent coming through the organisation to support the growth plans, but also strengthen their position as a regional employer of choice.
With a Gold standard accreditation from Investors in People, we are continuing to provide learning and development opportunities across the business, with a major focus now on new emerging talent of the future, who will have a prime opportunity to continue their future career with the business.
Six new apprentices have taken up their positions following the successful completion of their A-Levels and are now working towards securing their apprenticeship qualifications in Business Administration and Finance, following the launch of the new government standard introduced earlier this year.
Nik Griffiths, Operations Director said, ‘We recognise that an academic approach to learning isn’t always suitable for everyone and we wanted to provide a hands on learning experience for those individuals who want to enter the world of work and have an opportunity to grow their career in an ambitious and expanding business. Creating the Apprentice Academy has been an important step to support our ambitious growth plans and will enable us to grow our own talent from within, by offering each apprentice the opportunity for full time employment beyond the scheme we’re confident that they’ll become some of our most valuable employees, bringing fresh thinking to the way we run our business.’
Callum Bowden, Apprentice commented, ‘Having successfully passed my A-Levels in Law, Accounting and Physics I knew 3 more years of education was not right for me and that going into an apprenticeship and gaining valuable on the job experience whilst completing a further qualification was the best route to getting onto the job ladder .Joining
S&G Response has been an amazing experience so far and I’m really excited about my future here and the opportunities that are available to me ’ .
